LIONS super-fan John Peers, who is doing a 8,000-mile ride for charity in honour of Leicester racing legend Ila Teromaa, has thanked supporters at Beaumont Park.
Peers set off from the track on an amazing journey astride his Honda NCX 750 bike to Asia to raise funds to buy a machine for Blood Bikes Wales.
The incredible ride will cover a total of about 8,000 miles taking around 25 days passing through France, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Peers is now heading towards Germany on the first stage of his epic trip and said: “It was a fantastic night and the collection was an amazing £410 and no doubt there will be more to come through our Just Giving page.
“Please pass on my thanks to all the fans who contributed to a collection to raise funds for a new Blood Bike.”
